Removing the Cabin Heater Fan Resistor

Model: Mazda Cx 7 MK 1 - Years 2006-2012
Part: Heater core

When the cabin heater fan is not working because the resistor needs replacing, locate its position, which is found beyond the glove compartment. Open the glove compartment and press the sides of the cover structure to unclip it and extract it. Locate the resistor housing and disconnect it from the power supply by pressing the clip on the connector (which is located at the back as shown in the video) and pulling it out. Now, unscrew the two screws that hold the resistor in place and remove the resistor itself. To replace it with the new resistor, repeat the same steps in reverse order. The vehicle on which this operation was performed is a Mazda CX-7.

First, lift the car on a column lift to the desired height, then remove the wheel (using a telescopic spanner or air impact wrench) along with the respective bolts. Unscrew the locking bolt of the brake caliper, remove it from the wheel hub support, and detach the pads from the brake caliper using a screwdriver. Install the new pads on the brake caliper and refit the brake caliper to the support; tighten all bolts and remount the wheel.
