Removing the Plastic Engine Cover

Model: Mazda Cx 7 MK 1 - Years 2006-2012

To remove the plastic cover applied directly to the engine, first, extract the two expansion clips at the front ends that secure the cover to the slam panel; once the front bonnet is open, first remove the central pin and then take out the entire expansion clip on both sides. Once the front part of the plastic cover is free, lift it slightly and slide out the rear part, which has two ribs that fit into specific grooves on the air filter housing.
