Replacing the Rocker Cover Gasket

Model: Mazda Cx 7 MK 1 - Years 2006-2012

If the upper part of the engine is covered in oil, it is likely that there is a leak caused by the deterioration of the rocker cover gasket. To replace this gasket, start by removing the plastic cover on the engine, then detach the air filter box located directly above the engine by disconnecting the relevant ducts. Next, disconnect the connectors from the ignition coils, unscrew the fastening pins, and remove them from their respective seats. Then, unscrew the fastening screws of the rocker cover located around the edge and disconnect the breather to remove it from its seat. Under the cover, there is a specific groove where the gasket is located.
