Removing the Engine Air Filter Box

Model: Mazda Cx 7 MK 1 - Years 2006-2012

To remove the engine air filter box (AIR BOX), proceed as follows; open the front bonnet and locate the air filter housing behind the left headlamp (driver's side); then remove the duct in front of the filter box, disconnect the connector from the mass air flow meter (commonly known as the MAF sensor) and free the corresponding cable from the clip attached to the filter cover; finally, disconnect the intake duct hose and remove the air box from its location by pulling it upwards (it is held in place by rubber mounts).
