How to Open the Hood of a Mercedes C-Class W203

Opening and closing the hood is very important because you often need to find the latch under the edge of the hood to disengage the safety catches. At the same time, it is essential to ensure that the catches are properly engaged when closing to avoid accidental openings. To start, pull the lever located inside the cabin on the driver's side, just below the dashboard: this disengages the first stage of the catches, and a plastic tab shaped like an anchor will pop out from the front grille. Pull this tab to fully release the catches and allow the hood to lift. During the closing phase, make sure the catches engage correctly.
