Replacement of the immobilizer transponder of the Mercedes M-Class

Model: Mercedes Classe M W163 - Years 1997-2005

In this guide we will see the instructions that will allow us to disassemble and replace the transponder of the immobilizer of the Mercedes M and ML Class. First of all, we get on board the car, on the driver's side, and start by removing the plastic partition located under the steering wheel, unscrewing the fixing screws; then we locate the immobilizer transponder, disconnecting the electrical wiring to remove it, as shown in the video. At this point we install the new transponder, installing the original one and verifying its compatibility; we then reassemble the system and check its operation.
