How to remove the front shock absorber on a Mercedes A-Class? The first step: Lift the hood and secure it, then use a socket wrench to remove the mounting bolts of the shock absorber. Raise the car on a column lift and remove the front tire (using the appropriate wrench). Use a socket wrench to remove the mounting bolts of the shock absorber at the wheel hub (disconnect the brake line fittings with a screwdriver). Remove the bolts on the side and pull the shock absorber out of its housing (place a support under the bar). Compare the old part with the new one and prepare for installation. Install the new shock absorber.
