Video tutorial

In this video we see where the battery of the 2019/2025 Mercedes Sprinter is located, which is not in the engine compartment, but literally under the driver's feet. We open the door, remove the bolts that secure the step - which also seal the panel covering the battery - lift the mat and we will see that underneath there is the covering panel that will now come off easily; we do not have to be afraid to use force, because it is designed to be removed.

Under the panel we find the battery, housed in a plastic tray, with its positive red and negative black terminals. It is the latter that we must disconnect first.

Why is it there? It frees up the engine compartment for other components, and having such a heavy mass between the axles improves the stability of the vehicle. Furthermore, it is a dry and clean place, protected from the weather.
