How to replace the rear brake pads of a Mercedes GLC

Let's see how to replace the rear brake pads on a Mercedes GLC; first of all, deactivate the electronic brake: turn on the ignition, release the brake and turn off the car. Without starting the engine, press the ignition button once to activate the accessory mode, and press and hold the call button and the "ok" button at the same time until the "workshop" menu appears. Scroll to "brake pad replacement", select "go to mounting position", confirm and you will hear the noise of the electric motor from the back retracting the handbrake pistons. The display will show the message "fitting position reached". Remove the brake fluid reservoir cap and lift the car; remove the brake caliper, remove the old brake pad and wear sensor. Prepare the caliper by rotating the piston while applying pressure. Clean the caliper support, apply a layer of brake grease on the contact points between the pads and the support; install the pads and the wear sensor, reassemble the caliper and repeat on the other side. Now get back in the car and select the option to exit the "fitting position". You will hear the electric motor returning the handbrake to its original position. Close the brake fluid reservoir cap and before starting the car, pump the brake pedal several times to restore circuit pressure.
