Here’s how to remove the centre dashboard panel of a Mercedes SLK. Position the gear knob vertically, then use a plastic lever to pry off the trim (the gaiter with the plastic) located at the bottom of the centre tunnel. After removing the gaiter, unscrew the screws inside the central mask with a screwdriver. Once this is done, pull away the plastic with the radio (disconnect any power cables). Finally, insert the new piece into the plastic covering of the tunnel and reassemble all components.
