How do you remove the dashboard of the Mercedes SLK?

In order to disassemble the dashboard of the Mercedes SLK, you need to loosen the screws that fix the panels that make up the dashboard: start with the instrument panel, removing the covering around it and loosening all the screws underneath. The panel can then be removed from its seat by disconnecting the connectors located at the back: this way the panel can be extracted from its seat. Then you can detach the trims around the central control panel and loosen the screws that fix it: this can in turn be removed by disconnecting its connectors. You can also remove the glove compartment on the passenger side by removing the pins inside it and finally you can also detach the upper panel of the dashboard.
