How to Replace the Gear Knob on a Mercedes Vito Model W 639

This video tutorial illustrates the steps to independently replace the gear knob on a Mercedes Vito model W 639. To replace the knob, rotate it clockwise and counterclockwise to unlock the base; then pull upwards with force to completely remove it. After removing the knob, lift the gear gaiter and remove it. Dismantle the plastic base on the gaiter and insert the new gaiter directly into the new knob, securing it with the central nut. Connect the wiring to the connectors before fitting the gaiter. Finally, mount the gaiter and press down firmly on the knob to ensure it is properly seated.
