Let's see how to replace the rear light assembly of a Mercedes A-Class W169: to access the headlight compartment, open the trunk and locate the side access panel. Remove the rubber cover, which is usually attached with Velcro. Find and remove the three mounting bolts: one at the top, one toward the bumper, and one toward the inside of the car. All can be removed with an 8 mm wrench. Disconnect the electrical connector at the back and remove the headlight, which comes out directly from its housing thanks to guide pins. To install the new headlight, simply follow the steps in reverse order. You can find the kit with both headlights (right and left) on eBay with the code 263679250372 for $111.06 with free shipping.
