How to remove the shift knob of a Mercedes A-Class. Let's see the removal process. First, disconnect the leather boot trim using a plastic lever and lift it up; take the knob in your hands and rotate it left and right until you remove it from the shift lever. To install: take the new knob and slide it onto the lever on the center console until it is secured. Install the new leather cover boot by locking it in place with the clips. Finally, test the movement of the lever on the center console to ensure the knob is properly installed.
