How to Remove the Steering Wheel from a Mercedes A-Class 168

Want to remove the steering wheel from the Mercedes A-Class? Here’s how to take it off. Insert a screwdriver into the slots on the back of the steering wheel and remove the screws to free the airbag from the wheel. Once the airbag is detached, disconnect its power connectors and remove it from the steering wheel. Unscrew the large central bolt and take the steering wheel off the shaft. Secure the steering wheel on the steering column and tighten the screw, then reconnect the airbag power connector, press the airbag back onto the steering wheel, and tighten the securing screws. Test the proper assembly of the parts and the operation of the horn.
