Check for Coolant Leaks

Model: Mercedes Classe M W163 - Years 1997-2005

If the coolant level warning light on the dashboard illuminates, check the level in the respective reservoir. Once you open the front bonnet, the coolant reservoir is located at the back of the engine bay, just below the windscreen. If the level is significantly below the minimum but the temperature value has remained constant, then there is certainly a leak. In this case, the leak is located at the reservoir, at the connection of the outlet hose. Once the reservoir is removed and thoroughly dried, repair the connection area with two-component resin and proceed with the installation, restoring the coolant level and monitoring it.
