Replacing the button battery inside the smart key for the Mercedes E-Class W212 is very simple and can be done in a few seconds. You don't need any tools; just follow the instructions below.

First, press the button located on the top of the cover and fully remove the physical key. At this point, use the same key to open the cover. Remove the old battery and replace it with a new one. Finally, securely close the cover and insert the physical key back inside.
