To remove the fuel tank from a Mercedes E-Class, lift the car using a lift to access the components located underneath. Loosen the bolts securing all the covers around the driveshaft, which will need to be removed next. At this point, loosen the bolts securing the inner fender cover and completely remove it to access the screws holding the tank. Once these are removed, detach the tank and replace it with a new part.
