Change the Battery on Mercedes A-Class W168

If you think it's time to replace the battery in your Mercedes A-Class, this guide will provide all the instructions in a few simple steps to help you do it yourself. The first step is to turn off the vehicle's ignition to avoid any current leaks. The battery housing is located under the passenger footwell carpet, so gather your screwdrivers and get in position. You will see the handle of the cover sticking out from the carpet; rotate it and remove the cover to access the battery. Now, as with all batteries, the second step is to remove the plates that are bolted to the terminals, first the negative, then the positive. Next, remove the spacer that separates the battery from the fuse box and pull out the battery. To complete the operation, place the new battery in position, bolt it to the plates, and replace the cover of the housing.
