- Years 1999-2005 The fuse box of the Mercedes S-Class is located in the cheek of the dashboard, in contact with the passenger door. Another is located under the right rear seat, covered by a small compartment, while a third and fourth are located in the engine compartment, under the grate at the bottom of the windscreen, on both the right and left sides of the bodywork. Finally, a fuse and auxiliary relay box is located just in front of the engine compartment. The cigarette lighter/socket fuse on the Mercedes S-Class is #86 (front cigarette lighter) in the dashboard fuse box.
