How to Replace the Shift Knob on a Mercedes-Benz C-Class?

As you can see in this tutorial, replacing the shift knob on a Mercedes-Benz C-Class is a very simple and quick operation. First, position yourself on the driver's side, then pry along the joint at the base of the boot and detach it from the center console. Next, disconnect the internal connector, flip the boot upside down, and rotate the retaining ring counterclockwise while pulling the knob upward. Once everything is separated, you can transfer the trim to the new boot if necessary, and reassemble everything by following the reverse procedure.
