Mercedes Classe C - Video tutorial

Model: Mercedes Classe C W204 - Years 2007-2013
Part: Car stereo
Operation: How to disassemble the original radio and install an Android radio on a Mercedes CLA

Let's see how to disassemble the original radio on a Mercedes CLA 200 and mount one with an Android screen: there are two screws on the back to remove, and two connectors, then remove the tablet base with a plastic spatula. We remove the finish of the dashboard and then the air vents. At the bottom of the vents there is a screw to be removed, then the rest is interlocked. We remove two more screws inside the vents, and this will allow us to remove the stereo from its housing. We remove the electrical connectors. We connect the wires of the new screen to the plug and insert it in its place. The one described in the video is an original Mercedes radio, which costs 559.00 euros on E-Bay, under the code 284879244542. Otherwise, you can find many used or compatible deals on the net. Now we put everything back together, first the dashboard trim, then the vents, and the job is done.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
