Water Pump Replacement Instructions

Model: Mercedes Classe C W203 - Years 2000-2007

Before proceeding with the water pump replacement, follow these recommendations: Note the routing diagram of the accessory belt around the various pulleys with a drawing or a photo, and use the new pump to trace its outline on a piece of cardboard. Punch holes where the pins will be inserted to maintain their relative position, as they have different lengths. Next, begin disassembly by removing the plastic cover on the engine, draining the coolant through the drain plug under the radiator, and loosening the mounting bolts of the water pump pulley. Then, remove the accessory belt, take off the idler pulley located above the pump, and proceed to disassemble the pump itself, ensuring to place the pins on the template as previously indicated. Finally, reverse the process to install the new pump.
