How to Replace the Battery on a Mercedes SLK

If you need to replace the battery on this model because it is flat, the steps for a safe replacement are outlined below. The battery is located in the engine bay on the right side, just under the windscreen, and you will need to remove the plastic cover to access it. First, disconnect the negative terminal, then the positive terminal. After that, you can remove the upper securing plate and take out the battery from the compartment. Position the new battery, reconnect the positive terminal first, then the negative terminal, and refit the securing plate.
