Replacing the Instrument Cluster Display on Class A W169

Model: Mercedes Classe A W169 - Years 2004-2012

If any letters are missing from the central display of the instrument cluster, it means that some pixels in the display have failed: to solve this issue, you can replace just the display in the gauge, but it requires some familiarity and excellent manual skills; you need to remove the gauge from the dashboard, then take off the outer cover, unscrew the needles, separate the electronic circuit from its plastic support, and access the display; then disconnect the flat cable, detach the display with its support, peel off the underlying film, and apply it to the new display, proceeding in reverse for reassembling the gauge, paying particular attention to inserting the flat cable into its connector.
