Removing the Front Hood Latch Mechanism

Model: Mercedes Classe E W211 - Years 2002-2009

To remove the front hood latch mechanism, first open the hood using the lever located at the bottom left of the cabin: once you pull the lever, the latch releases, the hood pops open slightly, and a tab emerges from the grille that must be pulled outward to fully disengage the hood so you can open it completely. At this point, simply remove the two nuts that secure the latch support plate to the hood itself to complete the removal.
