In this video, we see the main reason why the retractable roof of a Mercedes SLK may not work properly. It is very important to check the oil level of the hydraulic pump: in the case shown in the footage, there is not enough oil for the pump to function properly, and a top-up must be performed. Removing the motor unit is quite simple, and this allows us to access the filling screw. This operation must be done with a specific syringe for this type of pump. To check if the level has been reached, it will be necessary to reposition the hydraulic motor in its position. It is important to remember to close the bleed screw! Verify the proper functioning of the roof with a complete opening/closing cycle: this indicates that the oil level is correct. The correct tightening torque for all the screws is indicated in Nm in the footage.

How to open the bonnet of the Volkswagen Polo

Let's see in this short and simple guide the instructions that will allow us to open the bonnet of the Volkswagen Polo.
