Instructions for Removing the Tweeter from the Door

Model: Mercedes Classe E W211 - Years 2002-2009

If the audio quality has worsened and you hear a lot of crackling from the speakers, it is very likely that the tweeter, which produces the highest frequency sounds, may be damaged; it is located above the door panel, behind the triangular plastic cover right next to the exterior rearview mirror; you need to pry off this cover along the edges to detach it; once removed, take out the sound-absorbing cover to access the tweeter and disconnect the corresponding plug to complete the removal.
