Detailed instructions - This video shows how to perform the reset procedure for the service light on the Mercedes C-Class. It is recommended to carry out this procedure only after completing the maintenance service on the vehicle. To perform this procedure, start the instrument cluster, then press the return button and the center button for 5 seconds. After these 5 seconds, the menu will appear on the instrument cluster. Use the center button to scroll to the 'Assyst Plus' option, once found, select it, then choose 'Full Service'. Now you need to confirm the full service, at this point select the type of oil used. Once the type of oil is selected, confirm it. Once confirmed, the maintenance light will be reset.

To adjust the handbrake on a BMW 1 Series, use a tool to pry off the leather cover that wraps around the base of the handbrake lever. Once this cover is removed, you will be able to locate the spring that regulates the handbrake tension.
