Here’s how to proceed if you need to remove the front headrest of the Mercedes C-Class for maintenance or thorough cleaning. Position yourself in the back seat relative to the headrest you need to work on and start by grabbing the lower edge of the rear seat panel, disengaging the two clips that hold it, first on one side and then the other. Next, pull down firmly to release the panel, lift the headrest, and with the help of a screwdriver, loosen the lock that prevents the headrest from being removed, which you will find on the left bar. Move it to the left, then pull out the headrest after disconnecting the electrical connector.
