How do you reset the Service light on the Mercedes A-Class?

Inside the Mercedes A-Class, the operation of resetting the Service light involves turning on the instrument panel by turning the ignition key in its slot: once the instrument panel is on, you can repeatedly press the 000.0 button located to the left of the instrument panel until the icon of the wrench with the kilometers remaining until the next service appears. Now you can turn off the instrument panel again, holding down that button: at the same time, you will need to turn on the instrument panel again to verify that the maintenance interval has been reset.
