How to Remove the Headlining on a Mini Cooper

Model: Mini Mini R52, R50, R53 - Years 2001-2007
Part: Checks and maintenance

Learn how to remove the headlining on a Mini Cooper: start by removing the side handles of the headlining with a screwdriver, then remove the sun visors and the overhead lighting unit located in the panel. If the car is equipped with a sunroof, open it before removing the panel. Once everything is removed (side panels of the pillars), detach the headlining panel around the roof perimeter of the car. When the panel is free from clips, you can pull it out of the vehicle. Be careful when pulling it out as it may break.

Replacing the Timing Belt on a Land Rover Freelander

Prepare to replace the timing belt on a Land Rover Freelander: lift the bonnet, remove the engine soundproofing panel and the timing belt cover. Using a suitable spanner, loosen the tensioner pulley and slide the belt off its seat. After fitting the new belt, use the spanner to tension the tensioner pulley until the correct tension is achieved on the belt (previously fitted). Finally, check the tensioner and the belt itself, and tighten all previously removed components with a socket wrench.
