Replacement of the high-speed fan of the Mini R56

Model: Mini Mini R57, R55, R56 - Years 2007-2014
Part: Blower motor

In this video we can see how to replace the high-speed fan of a Mini R56: This fan only worked at maximum speed, so the problem was the fan resistor. The YouTuber recommends buying only original parts, because from his experience, aftermarket parts have a short lifespan and tend to break again shortly after. Considering that this part is located in an unfortunate position, behind the driver's footwell panel, which is fixed by two 6mm screws. The resistor is hidden in the HVAC box behind the heater radiator, and removing it from there is not easy at all. After that, it needs to be disconnected from the electrical connector. Putting the new one back in place is also not easy, and we need to be careful of the heater radiator, which could be very hot if it was in use until shortly before. Once the resistor is reinstalled, we can put the panel back in place.

How to Remove the Dome Light of an Audi Q5

Let's see how to remove and replace the bulbs located in the dome light of the headliner on an Audi Q5. Use a screwdriver or a plastic trim tool to pry between the dome light cover and its perimeter (without breaking the plastic). Pull the bulbs to be replaced out of the dome light. Replace the damaged bulbs with new ones (same size and voltage). Reinstall the cover in its housing along with the associated parts. Perform the same operation for the other dome lights located in the headliner. Test the light's proper operation at the end of the installation.
