Resetting the Mini Countryman requires a diagnostic tool. We recommend the code 601100113463753 on Temu for £158.26, with free delivery, to connect to the vehicle's OBD port.

Turn on the ignition, and on the device, select the vehicle, then enter the VIN number. Now navigate through the menu by selecting "Workshop Tools", then select "Oil Maintenance Reset". Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the procedure.

If everything is done correctly, the system will confirm with the message "successful". Serious diagnostic tools are expensive but can be used over time, while cheap toys found around cost little but have very limited utility.

Replacing the Gear Knob on the Renault Espace

The following steps will show you how to remove and replace the gear knob of the manual gearbox on the Renault Espace. First, get in the vehicle and start by removing the small upper cover of the knob; to remove it, simply pull the gear knob upwards with force to detach it from the lever, as shown in the video. At this point, remove and replace the gear gaiter if necessary, installing the new one; finally, insert the new gear knob, securing it properly onto the lever (ensure there is no play between the lever and the knob).
