How to Replace the Key Battery on Mini F56

Replacing the battery in the Mini key is a fairly simple task that should not require professional assistance if you have a small flathead screwdriver. First, you need to extract the physical key from the remote. To do this, press the small button on the side of the remote and pull the physical key from the attachment ring. Once the physical key is removed, you will need to take off the small cover with the "Mini" inscription on the back of the remote. This will be snap-fitted, and to remove it, you should leverage the small slot located at the key's housing. After removing the cover, you will find a small round cover inside the remote that protects the battery. This will also be snap-fitted and should be removed by leveraging the designated area above it. Once the small cover is removed, you will have access to the battery, which is held in place by a small metal tab that also serves as a contact. To extract it, simply lever it towards the tab. Now that the battery has been removed, it can be replaced with a new one. Then, you can reattach the round cover and the outer cover, and finally, reinsert the physical key into its housing.
