The remote battery on a Mini Cooper is replaced easily and quickly. For the replacement, it is important to have a new CR 2032 3-volt battery.

To replace it, press the small button on the remote to extract the emergency metal key contained within. Using the key itself, gently lever the back cover to open the battery compartment.

Remove the old battery and insert the new one, ensuring it is positioned with the positive side facing up. Close the battery compartment and reinsert the emergency metal key into the remote.
