To reset the TPMS light on a MINI Cooper, first check that the pressure of all tyres is correct. Insert the ignition key without starting the engine or start the vehicle and use the controls on the steering wheel or indicator stalk to access the menu on the central display of the instrument cluster.

Scroll to the tyre check or 'SET/RESET' option and select it. Hold the confirmation button until the initialisation indication appears, then confirm again to start the system calibration. At this point, drive the vehicle for a few minutes at a steady speed so that the system memorises the new pressure values.

The light will turn off automatically once the operation is complete.
