Detailed instructions - Is the key remote battery dead? Here's how to replace the battery. Take your remote and use a screwdriver to pry between the two plastic halves until they separate, extracting the worn battery with a screwdriver. Take a new one of the same size and voltage. Reassemble the cap on the key remote until you hear the click of locking. Check the correct operation of the remote by testing the door opening and closing buttons. If the remote does not work, reopen it and check the battery position.
