Change Remote Battery on Mini

Is the battery in the remote key flat? Here’s how to replace it on a Mini Cooper. Take your remote key and use a screwdriver to pry between the two parts of the plastic key cover. Pry until the cover opens. Remove the flat battery with a screwdriver and replace it with a new one of the same size and voltage. Refit the two covers of your remote by pressing on the key cover until you hear it click into place. Check the proper functioning of the remote key by pressing the buttons.
