Once you have removed the door panel, you can access the cable that runs from the opening handle to the lock through a grommet: disconnect the grommet and the cable from their respective housings. To remove the lock, simply unscrew the three Torx screws located on the side of the door and detach the cable from the handle.

After removing the lock, open the plastic cover that protects the area where the opening cable connects and check its integrity. Proceed in reverse for reassembly, lubricating both the lock and the cable.
