How to remove the external handle cylinder? Let’s look at removing the cover panel of the Mini to access the back of the handle. Remove the internal armrest located above the internal handle (door panel), then use a screwdriver to unscrew all the securing screws on the door panel. Pry with a plastic lever around the frame of the door opening handle, then remove the reflector cap located on the door panel. Detach the cover panel to access the back of the handle. Dismantle the handle into all its parts and remove the lock cylinder.
