Replacing the Handbrake Grip

Model: Mini Mini R53, R52, R50 - Years 2001-2007

Once the original grip is removed, slide the new grip onto the handbrake lever, orienting it with the finger imprint facing downwards. Then, detach the leather covering to turn it inside out and insert a Velcro strap to secure it to the collar of the grip. Reattach the covering and correctly orient the grip, ensuring it is firmly secured to the support. Optionally, apply a drop of silicone before sliding the grip onto the support: avoid using glue like super glue or Bostik for future disassembly.
