Replacing Gear Knob

Model: Mini Mini R53, R50, R52 - Years 2001-2007
Part: Shift knob

Obtain a new gear knob suitable for the vehicle in question. First, unclip the cover of the gear lever by pulling it upwards while pressing down on the upper side with both thumbs before gently lifting it completely. Unclip the retaining screw of the knob from the gear lever located beneath the knob itself and remove it from its seat. Refit the new knob by pressing it firmly onto the lever and positioning it correctly. Reattach the screw and carefully reposition the cover, ensuring the gear lever moves freely.
