To replace the gear knob on a Mini R55, grasp the plastic support located at the base of the leather cover, which is fitted into the designated housing. Once the retaining clips are released, you can lift the leather gaiter and detach the knob connected to the gear lever. When the old piece is removed, insert a new gear gaiter by fitting the knob onto the lever and securing the leather cover clips back into their housing. After replacement, ensure everything functions correctly.
