Where to find the legal chassis number (VIN) and engine number on the Mini Cooper R56

Model: Mini Mini R55, R57, R56 - Years 2007-2014

Let's see where to find the legal chassis number of the 2010 Mini Cooper R56. Knowing where to locate this number quickly could be useful in case the Traffic Police stop us for a cross-check of the chassis with the one shown in the booklet; or in the case that we have to make a visit and test at the Civil Motorization. In both cases we need to know where the punched chassis number is. On the Mini R56 it is located on the semicircular joint in the engine compartment of the car, on the passenger side, just below the windscreen. If we also want to know the engine number, then we have to go under the car and look for it under the crankcase, in the lowest part.
