In order to replace the roof of the Mini Cooper, it is necessary to remove all the bulky components that prevent the removal of the roof: it will be necessary to loosen all the screws that fix the internal rear-view mirror, the sunshade panels, the side handles and the internal lights of the passenger compartment. So by also detaching the plastic covers of the door pillars, it will be possible to remove the roof of the car from the tailgate, so that the new spare part can be inserted. After the installation it will be possible to mount all the previously removed parts.
