The first step is to extract the physical key from the remote by pressing the release button, then insert a small flathead screwdriver to lever off the rear shell and remove it. Now, using the screwdriver, remove the plastic piece where the physical key was housed, and once done, you can extract the remote battery and replace it with a new one. The battery in question is a CR2035 3V.
