If the cigarette lighter in your Mini Cooper has suddenly stopped working, first check the status of the relevant fuse, the location of which is indicated in this video. As shown, the fuse in question is located in the box positioned inside the cabin, specifically behind the lower right panel on the passenger side.

It is labelled F44 and is 20A. If faulty, ensure you use a replacement with equivalent specifications and always operate with the vehicle switched off, otherwise you could damage the socket itself.
