How to Replace the Key Battery of a Mini Cooper

When the Mini Cooper key stops working, the cause is usually a flat battery. Once replaced, the key will function again. Start by extracting the metal key from the remote; simply pull it outwards. Next, use a flathead screwdriver to remove the cover of the remote to access the battery. Finally, remove the old battery and insert a new one. Refit the cover and reinsert the metal key. Check that the key works.
