How to replace the water pump of the Mini Cooper

Model: Mini Mini R53, R50, R52 - Years 2001-2007
Part: Pump

In this video we can see how to replace the water pump of a 2004 Mini Cooper. It is not a simple task: we have to remove the two front wheels, the front grille, the bumper, the air conditioning radiator, and finally we get to the water pump; it is a job that requires at least four hours (if you know how to do it). To remove the front bumper, the best thing to do, since we had to lift the car anyway to remove the wheels, is to remove the supports that hold the bumper in place. This way the grille will also come off easily. Then it will take at least another two hours to reassemble everything. We can find the pump on Auto-Doc for 88.37 euros, plus 9.95 euros for shipping.

How to Fix the Electric Power Steering Malfunction on a Lancia Ypsilon

Many models from the Turin manufacturer are equipped with EPS (Electric Power Steering), known as 'city' due to the button on the dashboard that activates the dual drive function, making the steering even lighter at low speeds. It is well known that this device can be faulty, starting with vibrations in the steering wheel and potentially leading to total deactivation with the corresponding warning light illuminated on the dashboard. The fault is often due to wear on the torque sensor integrated within the steering system, but failures related to the control unit are not uncommon. To resolve this issue, it is advisable to have a refurbished power steering unit installed, fully covered by warranty.
